Mine, Mine

The weather’s turned downright rainy and dreary here in the Puget Sound area, with not much chance of getting pictures of birds or nature.

But I just realized that there was a new version of Photoshop PS$ available, so I had to download the new version and give it a spin. Most of yesterday was spent online looking at new Tutorials that Adobe has posted. Looks like I’ve got some work to do if I’m going to get back up to speed. Of course, I still have books on Photoshop PS3 that I haven’t read yet. Luckily, almost everything in PS3 is still included in PS4, so it’s not a waste of time finishing those books before I buy the latest, greatest books on PS4.

Here’s a picture taken Wednesday at Titlow, which wasn’t exactly a sunny day, either, but I was able to get out and take a few pictures, and it gave me a chance to work with Photoshop PS4. It isn’t a particularly great photo, but it is of one of my favorite birds, the Belted Kingfisher. Although I’ve seen a kingfisher chase away a lot of birds, I’ve never seen one chased away before. But this one was being harassed by an aggressive crow. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized the reason the kingfisher was fleeing was that he had a fish in his mouth, and he wasn’t about to drop it or share it with anyone else.
