A Single Heart

Although I’ve finished nearly half of The Collected Poems of Weldon Kees, I’m not quite ready to choose a poem and talk about it in relation to Dana Gioia’s review. Too much thinking for the end of the week and a night when both Gavin and Lael will be here demanding attention.

Somehow I thought this picture of a single bleeding heart would be a good segue (anybody else surprised this is how “segway” is spelled ?) into a discussion of his poetry later this weekend or by Monday at the latest.
