On the Road

It was another rainy day here in the Pacific Northwest, so when it briefly cleared Leslie wanted to take a drive in our new Toyota Prius, and, since it’s unlikely that I’ll be driving it very much, I was more than happy to take an outing.

We drove around the beach for nearly an hour, and, as always, I’m amazed at how quickly people around here get out to take advantage of whatever sunlight there is.

And it wasn’t only people who flocked to take advantage of the sunshine. Nearly every pole at Titlow beack was occupied by a cormorant sunning and preening itself.

  1. Your photo reminds me of a photographer taking pictures of people who have all called in sick for the day. They have found the spot but don’t want the boss to see them on the news.

  2. Yes, it is amazing how that many cormorants could all be looking the other way at once, isn’t it?
