Must Be Summer

Spring has gradually given way to Summer around here, at least that’s what the birds seem to be telling me. While there still a few migratory birds passing through, at least judging from their songs, I’m generally hearing them, not seeing them. Although I’m hearing a lot of unidentified songs, I’m only seeing summer regulars like this male Red-Winged Blackbird

I’m not seeing nearly the number of Towhees I usually see during Winter and Spring, but I still spot them occasionally.

and the Barn Swallows are now here in large numbers.
