  1. I will think of this, the timing, although time does have its funny ways as we know, as an apt title and memorial to Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

We were so lucky to have him these 84 years.

  2. I’m not very good on writing memorials on short-term notice, kjm, but I think I’ll go back and re-read Cat’s Cradle, one of my favorite “modern” novels and get back to a dedication in a few months.

He was certainly a major force in modern literature.

  3. Hi Loren, As an ‘ex-pat,'(from a lifetime in and around Puget Sound to land-locked Idaho 2 years ago), I enjoy your website tremendously. From your sublime photos of my favorite place in all the world, to poetry and comments, all are a distinct, daily pleasure. Surely you know that it’s ‘Canada’ goose or geese, not ‘Canadian?’ This, from one who took an entire year to discover that one had only to scroll way down for a full view of Ranier in all her glory. Kindest regards, Lyn

  4. Okay, I made the change.

But grammatically it just seems wrong. Canada is a noun, not an adjective.

Now if you’d made this comment where thee was picture of a Canada goose I could have just left it.
