Your state or that office doesn’t sound too serious. Once Texas has you there in person, they test your eyeballs if see if you have any. Last time around, I did get to renew online, but that’ll probably be the only time in my life that they’ll allow it.

Interesting that you all can renew online. We can’t but our licenses are good for 6 years.

I’m still not sure why we have to go in, though I’ll admit that they gave some older people licenses that seemed totally confused by the set up, which I thought was darn efficient but constantly switched lines depending on what order people came in.

I doubt any of the clerks actually had the authority to deny anyone a license. Still not sure why they did it.

I think they are supposed to test your eyesight, they always have tested mine in the past, but they didn’t even test mine this time.

Glad you didn’t have to wait forever to get your license renewed. How annoying. Do they test your eyesight or something? Or do they just want to take a look at you? Something to look forward to. I’m 56 so it’s not far in front of me! I’m not sure if NJ requires in-person renewal yet or not. We shall see.
