Very nice, Loren. My feeders are crowded with finches, cardinals, chickadees, robins, mourning doves, and the occasional bluebird. But so far no herons! I like to see them in your pictures better than at my pond!
This image makes me think of what a heron might dream. Dreams are like collages. I like this very much. The red on the legs of the dark heron. The blue of the lighter herons. The golden eyes. The texture of the Pacific Northwest in its luminous grey-brown winter phase. That’s what I see.
